CHICAGO, US. September 28, 2023 – The Hispanic Technology Executive Council, HITEC, recognizes Ivonne Valdes, Chief Channel Officer, Sorenson Communications, as the 2023 HITEC Member of the Year.
Ivonne Valdes is a distinguished leader in the technology industry, currently serving as the Chief Channel Officer for Sorenson Communications, a company dedicated to harnessing technology to deepen human connections.
“Ivonne is a dedicated and exemplary leader in her community,” said HITEC President Omar Duque. “As Chair of the HITEC Foundation Ivonne has led the effort to expand the scope and impact of the Foundation, challenging her colleagues and the broader HITEC community to think bigger and imagine a more equitable future for future generations of Hispanic tech leaders.”
Valdes has been a member of HITEC since 2009. Over the years, she’s consistently demonstrated her commitment to the HITEC community. Along with serving as Chair of The HITEC Foundation, Valdes actively contributes to several esteemed boards, demonstrating her commitment to community and education: Board Member for Conectado a Web3, digital multiverse, Board of Trustee for Caldwell University, and an Angeles Investor.
Among this recognition as HITEC’s Member of the Year, Ivonne is the recipient of the Infrastructure Masons 2019 Global Diversity and Inclusion Champion award, 2020 Silicon Valley Women of Influence Award, 2020 HITEC Hall of Fame, 2016 CRN power 100 the most powerful women of the channel, 2015 Top 10 Latina Executives of the Year, 2015/2014 CRN Women of the Channel, 2014 HPE customer satisfaction award. These awards collectively celebrate Ivonne Valdes's extraordinary career, leadership, and dedication to advancing technology, diversity, and education.
